Q: How much does curtain installation and hanging cost in Petaluma?

 

A: Depending on the amount of curtains and blinds, it can range from $200 - $700+. This accounts for the type of curtain rod (double rods with shears take longer as there is more hardware to assemble and curtains to install on the rods themselves).

Q: Whats the best way to hang my curtains?

 

A:To accentuate your windows to make them look larger and your ceilings appear higher, Ed of GottaGuy Services in Petaluma recommends brackets should be mounted 4 to 6 inches above the window frame (or just at the ceiling) and extending the rod 6 - 12 inches wider than the window frame on each side, or 30% wider. This allows the curtains to open completely, letting full natural light into your room.

Q: How wide should the curtain rod be?

​

A: The rods should extend out 3 inches at a minimum, and up to 12 inches on each side of the window. The wider the extension, the more natural sunlight as the windows can clear the width of the window.

Q: How wide do my curtains need to be?

​

A: The best approach would be the total width of your curtain panels being 2 - 3 times the width of the window. For example, a 36-inch window needs 72-108 inches of total fabric.

 

Q: What do I do with all the leftover Packing Materials and Boxes?

 

A: Ed of GottaGuy Services cleans up and takes away all packing material and boxes for disposal and recycling, so you can enjoy your day without any additional errands or chores.
